Laws are basically everywhere, and this is specific term is described as the system of rules that are being imposed and created by social and governmental organizations to manage and regulate the behavior of each and every human beings. The ones who creates the law of every country are the collective legislatures or a single legislators, but mostly the laws are influenced by their constitution and the rights encoded in it. The laws basically serves as an intermediary or mediator between the people and some other entities, and it is believed that the law tends to shape the legal history, economics or economic analysis, politics, society or sociology, and philosophy in various methods. There are definitely a lot of different fields of law, and some of the most common are the admiralty or maritime law, the corporate or business law, the entertainment law, the family law, the environmental law, the civil rights law, the criminal law, the tax law, the real estate law, the military law, the personal injury law, the intellectual property law, the labor or employment law, the international law, the immigration law, the health law, and the bankruptcy law.

The practitioner of law is commonly called as a lawyer, and he or she may also be called and may also work as a barrister, a counselor, a chartered legal executive, advocate, solicitor, or an attorney. Some of the typical legal responsibilities and duties of the lawyers or attorneys includes oral argument in the courts, drafting and research of court papers, oral or written advocacy in administrative hearing, client counseling and intake, providing legal advice, carrying out the last will and testament or the intent of their deceased clients, protecting intellectual property, negotiating and drafting legal contracts, prosecution and defense of criminal suspects, and conveyancing.

There is literally a difference or distinctness between a lawyer and an attorney, for an attorney can still be called as a lawyer, while a lawyer may not necessarily or inevitably be an attorney. The term attorney is basically described as a practitioner of law that has been admitted to practice law in a particular or specific jurisdiction, has attended and finished law school, has practiced the study of law as a career, and has passed the bar examination; and he or she can also be called as an attorney at law. A lawyer on the other hand, is the one who is trained to practice law, for anyone who has attended and finished a law degree or bachelor of laws can be considered as a lawyer, but most of them have not yet taken or passed the bar examination and with that they could not provide legal presentation of their clients.
